1. Purpose & principles
This policy defines how advertising appears within BeOpen. Our priority is to offer useful formats, clearly labelled and respectful of the user experience.
- Transparency: any advertising content or partnership is explicitly indicated.
- Moderation: all sponsored content complies with the Community Guidelines.
- Privacy: we do not sell or rent data; no cross-app ad tracking.
2. Advertising formats
BeOpen favours simple, unobtrusive formats integrated into the experience:
- Partner-named rooms — rooms in the partner’s name, clearly labelled as “Sponsored”.
- Local visibility — highlighting the partner in the app for users nearby.
- Discreet banners — non-blocking placements, with no interstitials or intrusive pop-ups.
3. Targeting & data
- Contextual and local targeting (proximity, viewed theme/section, time period).
- No targeting based on listening to, analysing or transcribing conversations.
- Personal data: BeOpen stores only the email address for account access (see the Privacy Policy).
4. Placement & frequency
- Placements are designed not to disrupt participation in rooms.
- Frequency is limited to avoid saturation.
- Depending on the offer, a premium subscription may reduce or hide certain formats.
5. Prohibited content
- Deceptive, aggressive ads, interface look-alikes or content hiding essential information.
- Hateful, discriminatory, violent, explicit sexual or dangerous content.
- Phishing, scams, malware, or promotion of illegal activities.
- Unauthorised collection of personal data.
6. Sponsored content & sponsorship
- All sponsored content carries a clear label (“Sponsored”, “Partnership”).
- Partners must comply with transparency obligations (clearly stated identity, description of the service offered, no deceptive practices).
- Sponsored elements remain separate from editorial content and do not influence moderation or room ranking.
7. Measurement & campaign safety
- Measurement relies on aggregate, non-intrusive statistics (e.g., impressions, clicks, opens, room participation).
- Tracking is designed to remain proportionate and to limit collection of non-necessary information.
- Pre-checks and moderation of advertising creatives.
8. Complaints & reporting
If you consider an ad inappropriate or non-compliant with this policy, report it from the app (dedicated icon) or write to support@beopen.app. Please include the date, placement, a screenshot (if possible) and a short description.
9. Pricing & billing
Pricing depends on format, area, period and duration. A detailed quote (format, perimeter, duration, price, indicators) is provided before any campaign. Billing follows the accepted quote and applicable terms.
