1. Spirit of the Charter
BeOpen is a space for voice conversations to create authentic connections near you. To help everyone feel welcome and safe, we follow a simple approach: respect, listening and responsibility.
Remember: challenge ideas, not people; protect privacy; ask consent before sharing; report abuse. Service for 18+ only.
2. The 10 commitments
1) Respect first
No insults, personal attacks, degrading, hateful or discriminatory statements.
2) Active listening
Give everyone time to speak, avoid interruptions and do not monopolise the conversation.
3) Zero harassment
No intimidation, threats, pressure (including emotional) or incitement to violence.
4) Privacy protected
No sharing of personal information, no doxxing, no recording/capturing without explicit consent.
5) Authenticity
No identity theft or content manipulation. Be sincere and clear about your intentions.
6) Keep it safe-for-work
No explicit sexual content, shocking, gore, dangerous or otherwise inappropriate content.
7) No spam or cold pitching
No unsolicited ads, chain messages or phishing. Relevant, requested sharing is welcome.
8) Consent & boundaries
Ask before contacting privately, accept a “no”, respect boundaries and the room’s scope.
9) Welcoming climate
Help newcomers, rephrase when disagreeing, keep an open mind. Disagreement can be graceful.
10) Report to protect
Use the in-app report function or email support@beopen.app. Reports are confidential and taken seriously.
3. Conversation tips
- Before joining: pick a room that matches your age range and the topic.
- On the mic: turn it on when speaking; mute if your environment is noisy.
- Disagree? address ideas, not people. Avoid sarcasm and sweeping generalisations.
- Sharing: no sensitive info (address, ID documents, numbers, etc.).
4. Moderation & safety
To keep the space safe, we may remove content, restrict features, temporarily suspend or exclude an account in case of violations of the Guidelines, the Terms or the law. Measures are proportionate to severity and recurrence.

From the app (report icon) or by email: support@beopen.app. Please include your user ID, the room, date/time and a short description.
